We affirm the theater as a ritual and catalyst of public dialogue, and make our performances accessible to all.

Theatre Y operates under a model that is similar to NPR’s Public Access Membership.

Theatre Y Members donate monthly to support our work which is offered free to the public.

The average membership is $20/mo, but as little as $5/month guarantees you a seat to each Theatre Y performance and opens our doors to those who can’t afford a ticket.

If you want to get involved or have questions, call Artistic Director Melissa Lorraine at 773-908-2248
or email us with your questions at info@theatre-y.com!

A short clip from our talk back from last night, led by human rights journalist, Julia Lieblich. One of our members, Pearl Ramsey, explains why she's been back to Stories of the Body so many times. We agree-- Taylor Ovca's lighting IS brilliant. Ms. Lieblich joins us again for tonight's SOLD OUT presentation of Eva & Theresa!

“If they were creating their art under a corrupt and brutal regime, they would no doubt have already been imprisoned and would quite possibly be dead by now. Given that peculiar theoretical paradigm, when viewing their work it is as if you are watching the ghosts of great artists poignantly, vehemently and posthumously rage against the very structural machine of human deprivation. Even in a ‘free’ country, Theatre Y’s work is beautifully subversive.”

“Far beyond routine. Mesmerizing, riveting, energized, ambitious, articulated, bold...damn good theater.”
