kill them already
Melissa Lorraine and Nadia Pillay of Theatre Y take us inside Stateville Maximum Security Prison, introducing several incarcerated men and sharing their stories. Along the way, they confront a startling reality: Illinois has no parole system.
The title of this series seeks to confront people about their own indifference about incarcerated lives (or non-lives). Illinois no longer has 107 people on death row, it now has 5600 people on life row--buried alive as some performance of merciful benevolence. Some of them would rather die. We want them to come home and live.
